KRISTEN'S OTR SYNDICATED INTERVIEW

Via kstewartnews This interview OTR roundtable interview will be syndicated and ran through multiple publications or videos. Portion of the interview in video format from Allocine.

YahooOMG PhilippinesQ: Kristen, how big a leap does On The Road represent for you?
STEWART: I loved being part of the film and having had the chance to throw myself into my character. I thought of MaryLou as this fun-loving, adventurous woman who is enjoying this time in her life and just being herself. It was so beautiful for me to be able to express her wildness and try to capture that free-spirited side of her.

Q: You seem so natural in the role?
STEWART: Thank you. I don’t know any other way to play a part but to try to live my character and want to feel every emotion that my character experiences. I’ve grown up and spent most of my life playing characters that are specific instances in my own life. There’s this strange interplay between me and the movies I make that I can’t really explain but it’s something that drives me.

Must read - Don't miss this.

KRISTEN'S INTERVIEW WITH CINE PREMIERE

Cine Premiere posted their interview with Kristen from the UK ’Snow White and the Huntsman’ press junket.

We’re shivering in the living room inside the castle where the interview is taking place, which has several drafts… or maybe it’s the legendary ghost dog that guards swear has been haunting the place for years.
“I’m really freezing!” she says, laughing.

“Maybe this speaks highly about how far we’ve come, because I can’t support the power of women without people asking me why must I refer to it as ‘girl power’, you know what I mean? Maybe it’s because I’m young and I see the industry in a different way. Yes, there’s more roles for men, but there’s more roles for women now than there were in previous decades. It’s important to me to talk about the womanhood of my characters, instead of trying to be like a man, which is what studios tend to prefer. I think there’s always been amazing stories about women, and there will always be more. Ladies have to keep fighting, but it’s going to be easier than it was before. And if you want something that sounds impossible, I say do it. Go make a movie. If you don’t have what you want you can’t go through life blaming people. Grab your iPhone and make a movie, make it happen. It sounds simplistic, but you have to pave your own way and never blaming others.”

Is there a story that you want to tell?
I’ve always wanted to make movies, that’s for sure. But I have not found the story that I want to tell. I love being an actress right now, and I’m a stage in my career when there’s so much happening that I’m obsessed with this craft. But there are some shortfilms that I know I’m making one day. The need of capturing images is definitely something that I have, and there’s things that I want to see happen, just to see how they unfold. I want to be in that position in which I can make things happen and that my name can green light things. Right now I’m working on ’Cali’ with Nick Cassavetes, it happens in the Valley, where I’m from. I don’t want to sound arrogant, but knowing that you can make things happen is a wonderful feeling.

KRISTEN'S INTERVIEW WITH LE FIGARO- FRANCE. CANNES INTERVIEW

Le Figaro (Google translate)) At 21, the star of Twilight is in official competition at Cannes. She vampirizes the screen in the role of Marylou, the heroine of On the Road by Walter Salles, the adaptation of the novel by Jack Kerouac.

LE FIGARO -You compete in Cannes On the road from Walter Salles . And Robert Pattinson with Cosmopolis of David Cronenberg . Between you it is competition or rather a game?

KRISTEN STEWART – (laughs) Between us there is no problem! And we consider it as a game. It’s so incredible, unthinkable, crazy ending up the same year in Cannes, in competition, as we have just finished Twilight ! It’s strange …

Fate?
- (Laughs). I don’t know. Maybe …

What led you to the film by Walter Salles On the road , adaptation of the work of Jack Kerouac ?
I’ve been attached to this project for five years. I read the novel by Jack Kerouac at 15. It was on my list of books at school to read. Instinctively, I immediately selected it. This is the first book to have lit a flame in me and giving me a taste for reading. So, it all began with Jack!

What do you think Marylou, the heroine who was inspired by LuAnne Henderson?
She was never afraid of anything. For many young girls, including myself, often our actions are guided by fear. Even today, she would be considered unique. She had an ability to love, a generosity of spirit. She was not a rebel or persuaded to be a pioneer or avant-garde. She was just herself.

Filming of Twilight is over. Chapter 5, Part 2 Revelation , released November 14. Relief?
We redid the catch because I had hurt myself. Then, we will promote for its release. I’ll have to talk about Twilight to end my day! I’m sure! Twilight represents a long and important part of my life.
