11 NEW YEAR'S RESOLUTIONS FOR 'NEW YEAR'S EVE' THE MOVIE

New Year's Eve is just around the corner, and with it starts production on Garry Marshall's follow-up to the celeb-packed "Valentine's Day," appropriately titled "New Year's Eve." The film follows a whole bunch of couples ringing in the new year in NYC, and since the film hasn't started filming yet, we figured now would be as good a time as any to come up with a list of 11 New Year's resolutions for the upcoming movie.

11. Cast at least one member of "The Vampire Diaries," "Pretty Little Liars" or "True Blood." Preferably Ian Somerhalder or Alexander Skarsgård.
10. Contain at least one song-and-dance number.
9. Include at least one appropriate use of "New York State of Mind."
8. Be a bit less commercial than "Valentine's Day." We aren't here to sell flowers.
7. Continue to focus on diverse couples and love stories. Eric Dane and Bradley Cooper made us all swoon.
6. Feature a performance from one of our favorite musicians during the big New Year's Eve night. Preferably Lady Gaga or Kanye West.
5. Find a song as catchy as the Black Eyed Peas' "I Gotta Feeling" for the film's trailer.
4. Have an appropriate use for returning actors. If it's not a sequel, explain why they're back.
3. Wrangle a total of three Oscar-winning actors. They've already got Robert De Niro and Hilary Swank in their sights.
2. Cast another member of "The Twilight Saga."
1. Create another big-time celebrity couple (that lasts longer than Taylor Squared).
