ROB IS ONE OF 8 MOVIE STARS AS ANIMATED CHARACTERS - NEXT MOVIE

Practically every mega-star in Hollywood has gotten animated.
Tom Hanks was a toy. George Clooney was a fox. Angelina Jolie was a tigress. Eddie Murphy was an ass donkey. And now, Johnny Depp is a lizard in the desert-set romp "Rango."
But as the roles above indicate, hardly ever do these stars voice people -- even rarer people that resemble themselves.
We wondered aloud what these stars would look like as animated characters. Our old buddy Old Red Jalopy heard us and drew up these eight portraits.

NEXT MOVIE COMPARES ROB TO JAMES DEAN

James Dean:  The Robert Pattinson of the 50's.

Everyone loves Robert Pattinson these days. The brooding look, the shelf of immaculate hair, the overall bad boy attitude and look. It’s all pretty cool. As awesome as RPattz is, though, he didn’t come up with either the look or the attitude, because as any fan of Hollywood can tell you, both were pioneered long before by the original source of all things cool. That source? James Dean.

Yes, the original ode to teenage angst is back and still as powerful as ever. You think Edward, Jacob and Bella have it rough? Well, take a look at the high stakes high school drama that the triangle of Jim (James Dean), Plato (Sal Mineo) and Judy (Natalie Wood) go through and you’ll see that simply being human can present as many problems as any vampire.

James Dean and “Rebel Without a Cause:” still the coolest after all these years. We think that’s something even RPattz himself would agree with.

KRISTEN IN 'HOLLYWOOD 25 BEST QUOTES OF 2010' - NEXT MOVIE

K-Stew is Gettin’ Busy With Vampires

“I think it should be like a balance. At some point it has to be real and it has to be adult because they’re not kids anymore, but a lot can be really sexy by being suggestive. It doesn’t have to be vulgar or explicit.” –Kristen Stewart on “Breaking Dawn” sex scene

KRISTEN WIN 'BEST MULTIPLE MOVIE PERFORMANCE FEMALE' - NEXT MOVIE

FTW: Kristen Stewart, “Eclipse,” “The Runaways” and “Welcome to the Rileys”

Newsflash to the world: Kristen Stewart is not just Bella anymore. Sure, that’s something that most Twi-Hards actually knew already, but the rest of the universe seemed to have missed the memo. Until this year, that is, when K-Stew blew away audiences and critics in the indie rock epic “The Runaways” and the intense family drama “Welcome to the Rileys.” Add yet another appearance as Bella and you have the makings of an actress that is going to be with us for decades to come — sparkly vampires or not.

#Runner-up: Mia Wasikowska, “Alice in Wonderland” and “The Kids Are All Right”

BELLA AND EDWARD WIN BEST COUPLE & ECLIPSE RUNNER UP BEST TENT - NEXT MOVIE

BEST COUPLE

FTW: Bella and Edward

We know what half of you are thinking; finally, someone agrees with us and recognizes that Edward and Bella are fated to be together. And we also know what the other half of you are thinking: nooooo, she belongs with Jacob! Whichever way your jib is cut, though, you’ve got to admit that the heroes of both Team Jacob and Team Edward continue to set the bar for on-screen chemistry with their lady love. Now if only we can convince the producers of “The Twilight Saga” to include Team Coco in the next movie…

#Runner-up: Bella and Jacob

BEST TENT
FTW: “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1″
Movie goers had many chances this year to pitch a tent at the theater, but in a close race we had to give the Best Tent Scene to “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1.” And it’s not just because half the movie talks place inside a tent; it’s because the tender dance between pals Harry and Hermione was one of the few additions to J.K. Rowling’s text that actually improved the storyline. The kids are all grown up.
#Runner-up: “Eclipse”
