ROB AND KRISTEN TALKS BREAKING DAWN WITH TOTAL FILM

imagebam.com imagebam.com imagebam.com

TotalFilm When we sat down to talk about The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1 with star Robert Pattinson, we naturally brought attention to the elephant in the room: the hotly debated sex scenes.

Those marital relations have some pretty severe consequences too, with Bella becoming pregnant with a half vampire-half human child. Turns out we weren’t the only ones a little taken aback by this turn of events.

When the final book came out, I was like ‘She’s not even thinking outside the box anymore. She’s broken the whole box!'” Pattinson told us. “She went all out on the last one. It’s almost a different genre of movie.”
So, was Pattinson daunted by the prospect of the sex scenes? “It’s funny,” he added. “People talk about sex scenes in the book, but there aren’t actually any. It’s all in people’s imagination. They’re like ‘It’s so hardcore,’ but it always fades to black. It just shows bits of the aftermath.”

Not that that filmmakers will be taking that approach. “You have to show something!” Pattinson asserts.

MODUS FX CRAFTS SUBTLE CG FOR BREAKING DAWN PART 1

“They wanted the baby to kick and move inside her belly...”
"In one central sequence – the wedding of Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart) and Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson) – the camera pans around the newlyweds as they embrace."

Press Release from Modus FX
awn.com Montreal, Que: Oct 20, 2011... Montreal-based studio Modus FX recently delivered invisibly integrated visual effect shots for The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1. The latest installment in the wildly popular romantic vampire series based on the novels by Stephenie Meyer opens in theatres on Nov 18. Incorporating a stylized look as a visual expression of the more-than-human qualities of the characters, the film required seamless CGI (computer-generated imagery)and a refined aesthetic.

A team of 12 artists at Modus had six weeks to complete 42 shots for the film, which included creating a pregnant belly for lead actress Kristen Stewart, digitally removing a wrist brace she was wearing in another sequence and a variety of subtle cosmetic refinements.

MELISSA ROSENBERG ANSWERS FAN QUESTION VIA GLAMOUR MAG

Melissa Rosenberg talks Breaking Dawn, answers fan questions via GlamourMagazine
Q: What is your favorite quote/scene in the movie/and in the books?
MR: I'd have to say the honeymoon scenes. very romantic and playful. lovely to see Edward and Bella having fun.

Q: What percentage of the Book were you actually able to get into the movie? We know added additional scenes, but did you get mirror close to our favortie scenes?
MR: Hi misty! Good to hear from you. Because we split the one book into two movies, it gave us a lot more room to include as much as possible from the books. Particularly in the first part. We wanted all our favorite scenes to be included - of course everyone has different favorites, but hopefully you'll be happy. xoM

BILL CONDON TALKS BOUT THE BREAKING DAWN BIRTH SCENE

imagebam.com imagebam.com imagebam.com imagebam.com

BoxOfficeMagazine Boxoffice recently chatted with Bill Condon, the director behind the last two installments of the beloved Twilight Saga. Check out an excerpt of the interview below.

We interviewed Robert Pattinson a while back and he said the only other director he could imagine handling the blood of Breaking Dawn was David Cronenberg [The Fly, Naked Lunch].
And then he went to work for him! [In 2012's Cosmopolis] But I know what he means because it is very, very intense in the last part—it's almost like a horror movie. And he's certainly delivered the most intense images in the last decade or so. I tried to get my Cronenberg on a little bit and I think within the confines of a PG-13 rating, I think we've got something that's pretty powerful.

Everyone has been saying for years how hard it would be to make Breaking Dawn PG-13. How did you pull it off?
The whole movie is very immersive, kind of like in the book, which is in the point of view of Bella and Jacob [Taylor Lautner]. We tried to do the same thing in the movie—there's a whole chunk where you get inside the head of a wolf. And in terms of the birth, it was, "Let's do it from Bella's point of view. Let's see whatever she can see." Once you decide on an approach like that, it's amazing how powerful you can be without being overly explicit. She gets glimpses of a lot of things—and hears everything—but it's not the cutaway to teeth clawing through flesh. But you certainly know what's happening.

WYCK GODFREY TALKS BOUT BREAKING DAWN PART 1

Twilight Examiner In the December issue of Syfy Magazine (hitting stores now, with The Walking Dead featured on the cover), Wyck Godfrey (producer on The Twilight Saga) talked a bit about how and fellow filmmakers decided upon hiring Bill Condon to direct The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1 and The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2.

Explaining first how each of the previous directors matched up with their respective projects, Godfrey explained why he thought the final two were a good match for Condon.
"With Breaking Dawn, it’s a journey into adulthood. It’s a very mature step for Edward and Bella, moving into marriage and sex for the first time, pregnancy, birth. All of that really speaks to finding a filmmaker who could help our young actors, who hadn’t gone through any of that stuff … go through that process. Bill’s work has always come from a place of maturity, I found … He’s always directed films about misunderstood outsiders. And I feel that Edward and Bella are misunderstood outsiders, in terms of what they want. And Condon’s work also has some visual scale to it. Dreamgirls showed that he could direct a movie that had a really beautiful visual style to it."

Godfrey also admitted that the Twilight fan community has been influential in more ways than one and re-iterated the point Bill Condon made at Comic-Con this summer, that fan blogs and opinions coming off of watching things from afar led to a few on-set changes during production.
"The first day of shooting in Brazil, Rob and Kristen's pictures got taken everywhere. And overwhelmingly the response was, 'Oh my gosh! His hair is too dark! His hair is black! What did they do? His hair is too black!' And it literally forced us to go in the next day and look at him and go, 'Did we go too dark with his hair? Should we lighten it a little bit?' And I think we ended up lightening it . . . Also, you've read all the blogs about the books by the time you're making the movies. So, in some way all that is subconsciously affecting your decisions as you're working on the adaptations of the scripts. I know that numerous times we'll be in a room talking about the script and someone will go, 'No, No! That's one fo the fans' favorite scenes! WE have to do that!'"

THE TWILIGHT SAGA : BREKAING DAWN PART 1 GETS PG-13 RATING

ComingSoon.net Maybe it isn't that big a surprise to some or most, but it is official that Summit Entertainment's The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1, directed by Bill (Dreamgirls Condon, has received a rating from the Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA) of "PG-13," just like the previous three movies.

This rating is based on "disturbing images, violence, sexuality/partial nudity and some thematic elements" according to the MPAA label, so presumably they found a way to film some of the more controversial aspects of Stephenie Meyers' final book in a way that didn't get the movie a deadly R-rating.

The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1 is released on November 18.

Well, there's no surprise in here, Twilight Saga always had PG-13 lol

ROB AND KRISTEN TALKS BOUT BD + MINISTER WEBER IS A REAL MINISTER

The Chicago Sun Times They say good things come to those who wait — and no one knows that better than a certain vampire hunk. After several cinematic years in limbo, Edward Cullen finally will have that moment when a young man gets to say to his blushing new bride: Welcome to my bloodline.  First comes love. Then comes marriage. Then comes a little fanged creature in the baby carriage in the biggest film of fall, “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn — Part 1,” opening Nov. 18.

I’m curious to see how it will carry out,” star Robert Pattinson tells the Sun-Times. “This movie is so different from the other ones. The stakes are so much higher because now it’s time to turn the entire saga upside down.”
And then there is the matter of Bella’s baby bump. “The birth scene is frightening,” Pattinson admits. “It’s a slap in the face. It’s failure to Edward, who has to choose between losing Bella and transforming her. It’s the toughest scene I’ve ever had to film in my career because this choice tears out my heart.”

Stewart admits, “I was racing down the aisle during the first few takes because I was eager to get the two of them married.”Pattinson says, “We saved shooting the actual wedding for last because it was so important. We needed to be immersed in it.”
