Film star Robert Pattinson autographed a menu at The Majestic Saturday for Eve Armstrong, 13-year-old daughter of Chef Cathal Armstrong.

Patrons at The Majestic got a pleasant surprise Saturday night when film star Robert Pattinson, most famous for his role playing a forever-young teenage vampire Edward in the "Twilight" films, strolled in for dinner with friends while in town for the White House Correspondents Dinner.

The Majestic is a cozy upscale diner on King Street in historic Alexandria, a suburb of Washington, D.C., in Virginia that specializes in comfort food. 

Pattinson, 25, a London native, mingled easily with the crowd at the bar while waiting for a table, according to Jennie Kuperstein, publicist for The Eat Good Food Group.

Pattinson dined with four friends, ordering a steak—medium rare—prepared by Majestic Chef Shannon Overmiller and autographing a menu for Eve Armstrong, Chef Cathal Armstrong's 13-year-old daughter. The steak on the menu is described as "All Natural Virginia New York Strip Steak" which comes with fries and sells for $27.

The Majestic was the go-to restaurant for a birthday dinner in July 2009 that included first lady Michelle Obama, her mother Marian Robinson and daughters Sasha and Malia. 

Pattinson will appear as Edward later this year when the last of the "Twilight" films, "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn—Part 2," arrives in theaters Nov. 16, 2012.

No word on whether actress Kristen Stewart, who plays opposite Pattinson in the Twilight films as Bella, and is reportedly seeing Pattinson, was in the entourage Saturday night.

ROB SPOTTED AT JIMMY FALLON'S EMMY AFTER PARTY?

E!OnLine Robert Pattinson didn't attend the Emmys, but he made a surprise appearance at an A-list afterparty. While Kristen Stewart has been busy sitting front row at Fashion Week in London, Rob took the solo opportunity to hit Jimmy Fallon's Emmy bash last night in Hollywood.

Most VIP guests—Lea Michele, Amy Poehler, Tina Fey and Minka Kelly—came straight from the show and were dressed to the nines. But not R.Pattz:

"He was wearing a baseball cap and street clothes hanging at the bar," a guest tells me. "No one even noticed he was there!" Rob spent most of his night chatting with an older gentleman and managed to avoid the cameras.
Other partygoers were eager to get into more comfortable attire too, and hit up the Havaianas flip flops station, which Jimmy personally requested."

Location: Soho House in West Hollywood.  "Rob was dressed down in his usual unbuttoned plaid short sleeve shirt with a black tee underneath, topped off with a trucker hat." and "Rob was sporting a full on beard."  (wrong date? wrong sister?wrong place?oh well its HL lol)

TheSunUK  MOVIE vampire Robert Pattinson stunned a busking tramp – by buying him a new guitar.
The warm-hearted Twilight star had spotted the down-and-out's tatty acoustic as he put money in a collection tin.

Minutes later R-Patz, 25, who plays cold-blooded Edward Cullen, emerged from a music store with an electric guitar for himself and the red acoustic for the man. The British actor's generosity was witnessed in Los Angeles by holidaymakers Luke Jones and girlfriend Kirsty Rowlands, 22.

Builder Luke, 24, of Bridgend, South Wales, said: "We were gobsmacked when he handed the acoustic guitar to the tramp.

"Robert quickly went back to his car and drove off.
"The busker was totally shell-shocked. He had no idea who Robert was – I think he thought the guitar was stolen.
"He was looking left and right, half expecting the police to arrest him. We asked him to play but he couldn't get his thoughts together."
R-Patz, worth around £32million, plays piano and guitar.
