EonLine.Mexico Kate Del Castillo's talent has gained her a new fan. And one that already has her fan base. (millions of them) After going to visit the set of her mom's film. Kristen Stewart had the opportunity to meet and see the work of the Mexican actress and completely fell in love.

In a recent interview while promoting her upcoming film (Snow White and The Huntsman), in Mexico, the star of Twilight had nothing but compliments to say about the actress. "The whole cast is excellent, i can't choose one as my favorite but, I must say that Kate shines. She's like no other actor or actress. She has a light that's very special. You'll see her performance in the film because, even though her character is not an easy one to play and it requires a alot to develop, she does it in a way that is so impressive." 

Kate will play a transsexual who is the principal voice of the inmates in a prison in Los Angeles and the director is Kristen's mother, Jules Stewart. "The truth is that my mom is very lucky for having had her in this project, no one else could have been able to do it." (...) "She's very open. She has a very cool way of thinking and if there was an opportunity of working with her on a project that would be great. I think we'd get along very well inside and outside the set." 

 Without doubt, the love and admiration from Stewart is great support towards Kate now that she is closer and closer in becoming a recognized figure in Hollywood.

Q: Talking about the cast, your son Cameron did his first onscreen performance. Does he have new projects going on ?No because he is actually a grip. I wrote that character, Sledgehammer, with him in my mind and he agreed to actually do it. He is very shy and sweet and I'm really proud of him, he did a great job.

Q: And your daughter Kristen also plays a micro-cameo in the movie… 

JS: Yes, she is the secretary on the telephone. She loves the film and wanted to be a part of it. She was going to be Butterfly at first. Kristen attached herself to that role years ago but the schedule didn’t work. There was Snow White and the Huntsman and I have to push her up to do this big movie.

Q:  Let’s talk about Cannes. How is the festival going for you? 

JS: We are having a wonderful time here, it couldn’t be better. We already got offers for K-11, the movie has been very well received there.

Q:  How long are you staying? 

JS: Until May 26th. I’m here for the whole festival. My daughter Kristen is coming on the 22nd for her movie ON THE ROAD so I’ll be here to support her. I’m really proud of her.

Q: Red carpet time then? 

JS:  I don't know yet, but I will definitely be on the background, applauding her.

Kristen Stewart's big brother Cameron is making his acting debut in K-11, a prison-drama written and directed by their mom, Jules,58, due out later this year. Cameron, 26, worked as a production grip for five years before moving in front of the camera for his role as Sledgehammer, a neo-Nazi in an LA prison ward. “My mom kind of wrote the part based on me." says Stewart who already had a Mohawk. "Not because I'm a tweaker but because I'm skinny. So I guess she was going for the whole skinny-Mohawk-neo-Nazi thing. Acting in the first project directed by his mother, a long-tme script supervisor, proved to be a bonding experience for the pair. "You have a solid support base when you are at work" he says. "This put us out of our element together. I feel closer with my Mom, a camaraderie. I had a lot of fun doing it." he adds. "And if my sister can do it, then I thought I could do it.”

EonLine So who will she play? Karen, the secretary of Goran Visnjic’s dissipated record producer, who finds himself locked up in L.A.

County’s notorious K-11 unit, which specializes in special protection for LGBT inmates.

“Kristen has always been supportive of K-11,” Jules told us exclusively, “but you’ll have to look very hard 

to find her. It’s a micro-cameo.”

Actually, we should say you’ll have to listen very hard.

Because Kristen’s role is actually a voice-over: “We’d already finished shooting the movie, but Kristen still wanted to be a part of it in some way,” Jules said.

K11 UPDATE : NO KRISTEN BUT BIGBRO CAMERON WILL BE ON FILM

Variety Kristen Stewart won't appear in "K-11," her mom's directorial debut, but big brother Cameron Stewart will, Variety's Josh Dickey exclusively reports. It'll be the first film credit for K-Stew's older sibling (no picture available, sorry guys!) but not for his co-stars Goran Visnjic, D.B. Sweeney and Portia Doubleday. The film stars Visnjic as a successful young record producer who wakes up after a three-day binge in a special unit of L.A. County’s Men’s Central Jail that's dedicated to vulnerable prisoners, a place ruled by a viper transsexual. (Cameron Stewart’s role wasn't disclosed). Though there was mass speculation that his kid sister of “Twilight” fame would also play a transgendered character, she is not involved in the project, alas. Shooting started July 18 at locations in Woodland Hills and Hollywood, and has moved on to the now-closed Sybil Brand correctional facility for women in Los Angeles County.

REFRESHER ON COSMOPOLIS AND K-11

MTV Reports on Rob's Latest project 'Cosmopolis'

Robert Pattinson spent eight months on the set of "Breaking Dawn" and was immediately pulled from the set to begin his whirlwind press duties for "Water for Elephants" last month. After perhaps just enough time to take a quick nap, RPattz is now back on a new set: "Cosmopolis," director David Cronenberg's adaptation of the slim Don DeLillo novel.

With production under way, Cronenberg's daughter has posted the first look at Pattinson and Sarah Gadon in character . The photo appears to capture the duo in a cab, though the great majority of the action, or lack thereof, in the book takes place in a limousine. Pattinson plays Eric Packer, a young and rich asset manager who, over the course of one day, manages to lose millions of dollars yet remain oddly detached from it all as his limo plods through horrendous New York City traffic. Gadon portrays Elise, a rich and beautiful heiress who is married to Packer but who doesn't seem to care for him very much at all and who certainly won't sleep with him.

"I had read the script about eight months ago and thought, 'Wow, this is something that hasn't been made in a long time,' "Pattinson told MTV News in March. "Which I think, like 'Water for Elephants' as well, I'm just trying to find that kind of stuff, because what else is the point? There's so much generic, everything's the same. So you might as well attempt to try something different."

When we caught up with him again in April, Rob revealed that he'd been working with a dialect coach to achieve a "very specific accent." But he still hadn't spoken with Gadon about the upcoming project. "I've seen a couple of things she's done," he said. "She's really good."

Filming started May 23rd until... Canadian Press reports a "The 40-day shoot is expected to run through mid-July." Specific date given by The Official Cosmopolis Website "Filming ends 21st of July 2011."

K-11 UPDATE : INTANDEM TO REP MAMASTEWART'S PRISON DRAMA

Variety London-based sales and financing house Intandem Films has pacted with L.A. shingle Libertine Films to handle international sales on edgy drama "K-11."

Directed and written by first-time feature helmer Jules Stewart, the pic is a dark and complex character ensemble set in a special unit of L.A. County's Men's Central Jail dedicated to vulnerable prisoners.

Jules Stewart is the mother of thesp Kristen Stewart, and although press reports have linked the actress with the project, Intandem would not comment, but said casting was now on fast-track.

The indie pic is fully financed and skedded to shoot on location in L.A. this July, and is likely to preem at Berlin next year.

Libertine prexy Tom Wright will produce. Libertine retains all North American rights for the film, with Intandem's CEO Gary Smith serving as consultant on the negotiations.

Smith said: "Libertine Films has a diverse slate of films and we look forward to developing a long and successful collaboration with them."

Jules Stewart, who is repped by ICM's Joanne Wiles, formed Libertine with Wright after working for many years as a script supervisor.

K-11 PRODUCTION UPDATES + GOSSIPCOP UPDATE

Update From GossipCop Kristen's post-Breaking Dawn production schedule has been the subject of intense scrutiny, and this week there appears to be a new wrinkle.

The actress is still attached to K-11, a drama directed and co-written by her mother, Jules Mann-Stewart.
Now, IMDb and other outlets claim that K-11 will begin production on June 6.

As Gossip Cop reported, Stewart has also been offered the title role in Snow White and the Huntsman, leading many observers to wonder whether there’d be a potential conflict between the two productions.

There will not be.  Gossip Cop looked into it, and a production source on K-11 told us there’s no official start date as of yet.  Should Stewart and the Snow White filmmakers come to a final agreement on their offer to her, it will in no way interfere with K-11.
