For those that have followed [the films] from beginning to end, there is a great final moment where you really get to re-live that entire the experience and I think that is something the fans can look forward to.”

NEW ROB'S INTERVIEW WITH TORONTO.COM - TALKING BOUT BD PART2

Toronto.comCANNES, FRANCE—The vampires and werewolves of the Twilight franchise will be humorously “on Mars” when the final film arrives in November.

That’s the word from lead star Robert Pattinson about The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn—Part 2, due in theatres Nov. 16.

“This one is so odd that it becomes kind of funny,” Pattinson told the Star. “Now that Bella’s not human, they’re just on Mars now. Everyone in it is a lunatic!”

Pattinson was at the Cannes Film Festival as star of David Cronenberg’s Cosmopolis, which was competing for the Palme d’Or at the festival, which wrapped up Sunday.

He took a moment from his Cosmopolis press duties to talk about The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn—Part 2, the fifth and final film of the record-breaking gothic teen romance phenomenon.

Pattinson said Part 2 will be quite different from Part 1, beginning with the newly released posters, which show individual characters instead of group scenes. The posters have solo shots of Pattinson and also Kristen Stewart, his real-life girlfriend who plays his newly transformed vampire bride Bella in Breaking Dawn.

“I’m excited about the last book coming out because it’s quite different,” Pattinson said.“Even the posters. I just saw the posters the other day and . . . suddenly there’s a different look. Because all our posters have been exactly the same, until the last one. It’s crazy. I kind of like them.”

Breaking Dawn—Part 2 breaks new ground for the series, too.

“The movie is funny as well, which is weird. It’s strange. I guess the first one was quite body horror-y (and) creepy. This one is so odd, that it becomes kind of funny. Now that Bella’s not human, they’re just on Mars now. Everyone in it is a lunatic!”

JACK MORRISEY CLARIFIES BD PART 2 ADDITIONAL FOOTAGE INFO

 

TwiExaminer/Amanda Bell This weekend, The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2 director Bill Condon confirmed that additional photography would soon be done on the film in Vancouver, British Columbia. In his letter explaining the matter, Condon referred to the work as "additional shots" which will include Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart "pop[ping] in those gold contacts one last time."

Tonight, Condon's partner (and purveyor of many Twilight answers) Jack Morrissey has presented new and more detailed information about what that will entail in his latest "Team Jack" Podcast.

BREAKING DAWN PART 2 PRODUCTION UPDATE FROM BILL CONDON + RESHOOT FOR ROB AND KRISTEN

Hello Twihards! 

Greetings from Los Angeles, where we're hard at work on BREAKING DAWN, PART TWO. It's truly crazy to think that it's been a year since we wrapped production in Vancouver, since for those of us in the editing room the work has never stopped. 

A film is a lot like a puzzle, with each piece - each shot, no matter how brief - needing to fit exactly with the ones around it. Our Part Two puzzle is finally coming into full view, and in a few weeks we'll be heading back north to pick up some additional shots - the last tiny missing pieces. We're not shooting any new scenes or dialogue, just some technical work with some of our cast and stunt actors.

I am really looking forward to being back on set with some of the friends I've made on my Twilight journey, like the great Guillermo Navarro, our cinematographer, and his crew. And yes, Rob and Kristen will be there too, to pop in those gold contacts one last time... 

I'm excited to report that before too long we'll have another trailer for you to decode. And wait until you see the first posters -- they're unlike any "Twilight" images you've seen before. And then November 16th will be upon us and the final film will be yours!
